Street colours

Anyone who knows Melbourne, knows it’s a fantastic spot for street art.  Especially Fitzroy.  Miss S and I visit often, searching for new art and revisiting the old and familiar.  Always changing and growing, a living gallery that we love.  I decided to take my camera along on our latest visit, to capture just a taste of the colour that is this amazing place.  We managed a few shots before the sky darkened and we hurried back to the car.  I can’t wait to return for more!  M x

With a bow

Each morning after dressing, Miss S chooses her hair accessories.  Such a small thing, but she loves coordinating colours and styles, and I love waiting to see what she’ll pick out.  This bow makes a regular appearance, and is a definite favourite!  I can’t blame her, it’s one of my favourites too.  M x

Growing

This week has been like a tornado.  Everything happening all at once.  And in between the madness, I’ve been ‘spring cleaning’ and sorting through all of Sophia’s clothes, trying to sell those she’s outgrown to make way for the new.  And as I looked at each piece, I could remember what she looked like when she wore it.  Then like a flash, the fast-forward to today where I have my 3 year old girl standing before me.  It’s hard to let go and yet, I’m so excited for the now.  And speaking of now, and growing, I have a new camera!  With only a few minutes to spare today, I had my almost-always willing model pose for me while I played around.  I love that she was still wearing her plaits from preschool.  Plaits are her new obsession, and she is determined to grow the longest plait ever!  We’ve been talking of grown ups and growing all week.  And each day has reflected a kind of evolution.  Sometimes, it’s nice to be able to take a photo, and make it all stop.  For a delicious second.  And take a breath.  M x

Amaline Vitale

I recently had the great pleasure to photograph the beautiful collection of bridal and evening gowns by Armadale designer, Amaline Vitale.  Absolutely one of the most gorgeous shoots I have done, I was sure each dress was my favourite until I saw the next.  Amaline Vitale can be found on High Street, and offers a very personal service where clients meet directly with a designer to realise their dream gown.  I found myself wishing I were a bride all over again.  And who wouldn’t, with these divine creations to choose from?  M x
