Maya blue

A little more of Maya, continuing from my previous post here.

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it’s alright

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…  M x

Portraits of James

I am fortunate to have some absolutely fabulous people in my life.  I bumped into an old friend one night, and she introduced me to James.  And over 12 years have passed, and I think he must know almost everything about me.  Crazy nights out, quiet nights in, sad days and happy ones.  Honesty that only a true friend can give.  And the kind of laughter only old friends can share.  Usually the life of the party, or dancing like no-one is watching.  Listening to Madonna from the 80s, I clicked the shutter and captured my friend.  The familiar expressions of James that I love.  M x

Maya sparkles

One of the things I love about taking photos, is meeting the beautiful people in them.  Maya is no exception.  We ran and ran along the beach, played around in the water, and talked about holidays and basketball.  We giggled and smiled and enjoyed the spring sunshine on a perfect October afternoon.  Maya is 7 years old and her personality sparkles like the glitter in these photos.  And I look forward to showing you more in days to come!  M x

Alice Lucy

Alice Lucy, a late arrival, was born on 6 October 2001 with a gorgeous head of chocolate brown hair and sapphire eyes.  I simply melted when I saw her, sleeping so soundly and completely unaware of all the action going on around her!  You might remember Jack from my previous post back in April.  Jack is now a very proud big brother, and is happy to introduce you to his new little sister – just two weeks old.  M x

A little heavenly

10 months later

10 months passed since Sophia first wore this dress.  A very talented friend of mine began making dresses as part of her business (Lil Pip) and as soon as I saw this one, I fell in love.  I can hardly believe Sophia was only 20 months old then.  How time has passed, but how comforted I felt that my little girl hadn’t grown up too much!  We took a walk around the block to enjoy a few moments of divine afternoon sun, and to show off her dress, of course!  M x

Hayden urban

You might remember Hayden from September.  Hayden dropped by yesterday for part 2 of his photo shoot, and we took a walk around the city streets, through the park, down little laneways, around fences, up to the lookout to watch the trains go by, and then back home for lollipops and lots of smiles!  I hope you enjoy this little taste of our afternoon together.  M x
