Myself
Today was the last day of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I have been taking part in this month (see my last post). Although I missed some days due to travel and illness, I very much enjoyed shooting subjects I may not otherwise have thought to, and my love for photography has grown. I hope you have enjoyed looking at something a little different, and I will certainly try to bring you more of it! So to end, the final photo, Day 30 – Self-portrait. M x
Toy time
Being constantly surrounded by toys, I thought it very appropriate to include them in my 30 Day Photography Challenge photo series (my last post here). The topics for Day 25 – Something pink, and Day 29 – Black & white, inspired these shots. Much loved and cuddled – Sophia’s spotty giraffe, and timeless kewpie! M x

Casa Verde
Casa Verde is my favourite local florist, and the owner, Sarah, was kind enough to allow me in to take some photos (thank you!). What better place to be for today’s 30 Day Photography Challenge topic, Flowers (following my last post). With over 20 years of floristry behind her, Sarah is soon to celebrate one year of business in North Melbourne’s Errol Street. I adore her modern style, and the perfect incorporation of vintage charm. Flowers are grouped together by colour, placed in all manner of glassware atop timber tables and wooden boxes. We chatted away while I snapped and admired, and I could happily have stayed all afternoon. I hope you enjoy these stunning blooms! M x

Home with a view
Today’s 30 Day Photography Challenge topic was made for me. I look at it every day and feel so happy to be here. Familiar, interesting, beautiful – especially in the late afternoon sun. So following on from yesterday’s post, here is my photo for Day 27 – From a distance. M x
His ring
It’s one of the things I always remember about my father. Worn on his left hand, I used to stare at it, wonder at it, and admire the colours in the stone while being held in his arms. It is so much more special to me now that Dad has passed. And today was the first day in almost 3 years that I have taken it out to look at it again. I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate for today’s topic of the 30 Day Photography Challenge (following my post here) – Close up. As close-up as I used to see it as a child, and so very treasured… my Dad’s wedding ring. M x

The Sophia Bird
I knew as soon as the package arrived, she would love it! Dressing up is very popular with Sophia and what better accessory than a new headband. And fortunately for me too, the perfect time to wear it – the topic for Day 24 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge (following my last post) was Animal. So… the Sophia Bird was born: A rare species best found during daylight hours, likes to eat toast, biscuits, olives, and crackers, sings to the tune of Baa Baa Black Sheep, and is happiest when receiving loads of attention and cuddles! Faceless
Another update from the 3o Day Photography Challenge series (my last post here) – and the subject for Day 21 was a Faceless self-portrait. Perhaps a bit literal, but here it is. Meanwhile, I have been in bed ever since with a terrible cold. I think a box of tissues would be a good representation of me now! Hopefully I’ll be better soon, and posting up another photo shoot. Friends
I think Sophia has found a new friend. Ever since our visit last week, she has been talking about her and asking to look at photos. The smile that appears on Sophia’s face when she sees pictures of “Ana” is adorable! I think I will have to organise another playdate soon. So for Sophia today, her friend, Cianah. M x
